Daily data
|
All EPN stations submit daily (24 hour) RINEX
files with a 30-second sampling interval to a primary and secondary data centre following a well-defined data flow scheme indicated in the
Guidelines for EPN Stations and Operational Centres.
In order to minimize file size, the RINEX data are Hatanaka compressed before being uploaded
hourly or daily to the EPN data centres which are indicated in the table below.
Once a week, the EPN CB informs the EUREF community (through the EUREF mailing list) about missing
data files and meta-data inconsistencies (sample email).
- Availability of daily RINEX data (last 4 weeks):
- 90% < station
- 80% < station < 90%
- station < 80%

Hourly data
|
In addition to the daily data uploads,
EPN stations use the same data flow scheme to submit hourly data. The hourly EPN data are mainly used for the determination of zenith total delays
in near-real time aiming at improving numerical weather predictions (E-GVAP).
For these applications it is crucial that the hourly RINEX observation files are made available to the customer with latencies below 10 minutes.
The EPN CB distributes monthly (through the EUREF mailing list) an overview of the histogram of the minimal latencies of all the EPN stations
(sample email).
- Hourly RINEX data submitted with latency below 10 min. (last 4 weeks):
- 90% < station
- 80% < station < 90%
- station < 80%

Data centres
The identification of the appropriate data centre is possible from the
list giving an overview of the data that are available at each data centre.
Try to use the data centre closest to you.
Three types of data holding files give an overview of the available tracking data :
- The yearly summary file globYYYY.syn giving yearly data holdings for some of the EPN local and regional data centres (
1996,
1997,
1998,
1999,
2000,
2001,
2002,
2003,
2004,
2005,
2006,
2007,
2008,
2009 and
2010
are available).
- The monthly summary file globMMYY.syn giving monthly data holdings for all EPN Local and Regional Data Centres.
- The daily summary file check_import.CCC giving daily data availability for each EPN Local and Regional Data Centre.
| YYYY : year |
